Chris Chenes is the team's new Media & Production Manager.The Tri-City ValleyCats (short season; NY-Penn League)announced the addition of Chris Chenes to its organization as Media & Production Manager. Chenes will take over the media relations responsibilities for the ValleyCats as well as video production and electronic media efforts.
Chenes is no stranger to ValleyCats baseball after serving in numerous seasonal positions since the club's inception in 2002.
"Since the beginning, Chris has been committed to helping our organization create fans for life,” said Vice President & General Manager Rick Murphy. “He’s always been dedicated to extending the ValleyCats brand throughout the Capital Region and we are excited to bring him on in a full-time role.”
Chenes, born and raised in Troy, earned his degree in Communications from The College of Saint Rose in 2008. Prior to joining the ValleyCats, Chenes most recently worked for Capital News 9 as Media Editor/Ingest Operator and prior to that as a Production Assistant for FOX23 News in Albany, NY. Chris also spent the summer of 2008 in New York City working for NBC Universal as a member of their Commercial Operations Department.
