This year’s tournament will be played May 26-30, with the top four teams in each of the SWAC’s Eastern and Western Divisions qualifying.
The SWAC Baseball Tournament returns to Fair Grounds Field for the first time since 2002.
“We thank the Mayors of Shreveport and Bossier City, City Council members, as well as the Shreveport Regional Sports Authority, and Craig Brasfield of the Shreveport-Bossier Captains for again hosting the SWAC Baseball Tournament,” Sharp said. “We’re excited to bring our baseball championship to ‘Louisiana’s Other Side’ and Fair Grounds Field to cap our Championship events for the 2009-10 athletic year.”
