Rumble Ponies Set Franchise Attendance Record

Binghamton Rumble Ponies

The Binghamton Rumble Ponies (Class AA; Eastern League) achieved a major attendance milestone on Friday, when they welcomed a single-game record 7,488 fans to NYSEG Stadium. That figure, set as the Rumble Ponies hosted the Trenton Thunder, surpassed the previous high of 7,412 that was reached in 2007.

The Rumble Ponies have welcomed more than 6,000 fans to the ballpark six times this season and have had over 7,000 fans twice.

Since May 23, the Rumble Ponies have welcomed 114,080 total fans to NYSEG Stadium, an average of 4,225 fans per opening. Overall this season, an average number of 3,442 fans have filled the ballpark for each opening. At their present post-Memorial Day weekend rate, the Rumble Ponies are on pace to have their best per-game attendance since the franchise’s inaugural season in 1992.
