When Trenton Thunder (Class AA; Eastern League) play their home opener on Thursday, they will debut a series of improvements to ARM & HAMMER Park. In addition to several major projects completed in partnership with Mercer County, the Thunder have made significant enhancements to the Berkshire Bank Luxury Suite Level, bathrooms on the main concourse, to the NJM Insurance Picnic Area, and made a number of additions to the food menus at the ballpark.
“These improvements to our ballpark along with the promotions we have planned this year make for the biggest season in franchise history,” said Thunder GM/COO Jeff Hurley. “With brand new food options all across the park, I can’t wait for tomorrow to get here so that our fans can enjoy all of the new things we’re doing this season.”
The renovations on the Berkshire Bank Luxury Suite Level include a pair of capital upgrades to the entry way from the main concourse and to the main lobby. Featuring complimentary water and popcorn for suite level guests as well as a full bar, fans will enjoy a refreshed look in the suite level lobby. The Berkshire Bank Luxury Suite Level now plays host to the Steiner Sports Clubhouse. Situated on the third base side of the ballpark with a capacity of 50 guests, the newly renovated Steiner Sports Clubhouse becomes one of the premier hospitality areas at ARM & HAMMER Park stocked with special signed items from New York Yankees stars.
The bathrooms on the main concourse received a major upgrade with new lighting, bathroom partitians, paint, ceiling tiles and toilet dispensers. The women’s room will have additional counterspace accompanied by new mirrors.
As part of their Presenting Rights agreement, the Thunder and NJM Insurance are thrilled to unveil the NJM Insurance Picnic Area at ARM & HAMMER Park. With brand new tents in place, the NJM Insurance Picnic Area allows fans to take in a Thunder game from a private picnic area above the visiting team bullpen. Groups enjoying a game in the NJM Insurance Picnic Area will have access to a delicious 90-minute picnic-style buffet.
Several additions to ARM & HAMMER Park have been made with a fans appetite in mind.
At the Case’s Pork Roll Paradise stand, fans can enjoy The Sticky Pig which features pork roll, bacon, egg, cheese and a red pepper jam on a glazed donut. This brand new specialty is the perfect combination of breakfast and dessert.
Fun Town, the special dessert zone located behind sections 211 and 212, will feature Waffle and Donut ice cream sandwiches.
Fans will also enjoy the addition of deep fried chocolate candy bars and deep friend peanut butter and jelly sandwiches at the Deep Fried Delights stand at the end of the first base concession stand.
The main concession stands will see the addition of pierogies and grab-and-go beef jerky for fans to enjoy all summer long. Beef Jerky sticks and flats from The Beef Jerky Outlet are a perfect compliment to any meal at the ballpark.
Across from the third base concession stand, fans will enjoy the addition of Craft Corner, a brand new beer portable with a large selection of local and regional craft beer favorites. This season, the Thunder will feature products on rotation from Victory Brewing, Founders Brewery, Boulevard, Firestone Walker, Vault Brewing, Southern Tier, Lone Eagle, Spellbound Brewing, Blue Point Brewing, Brooklyn Brewing, Ship Bottom Brewery and other seasonal favorites throughout the season.
Fitch’s Place, located on the third base side of the ballpark, will expand it’s footprint with the addition of 1911 Smoke House Bar-B-Que. 1911 Smoke House is a Trenton favorite located at 11 West Front St. in Trenton and will serve up Brisket, Pulled Pork, Rib Tips, Cheesesteak Egg Rolls and their one-of-a-kind Pork Roll Meatball!
Thunder fans will also be pleased to see the return of Mr. Miyagi to ARM & HAMMER Park. Serving chicken, beef, and shrimp teryaki bowls, edamame and shrimp tempura; you can’t go wrong with Mr. Miyagi.
