Small critters always make for a good viral video. This year, a cat who roamed the Kauffman Stadium outfield right before a St. Louis Cardinals grand slam has already become this year’s MLB Internet meme.
Really, it’s hard to go wrong with cat videos — just ask the St. Paul Saints — but Cardinals fans can’t get enough of the Rally Cat, so named because a stroll on the outfield came right before a Yadier Molina grand slam that led the Cards to an 8-5 victory over in-state rival Kansas City.
You can view the Fox Sports report from the network’s Twitter feed:
All this cat wanted was a little love from LoCain. Instead, he got escorted off the field. #Royals pic.twitter.com/r2QvHmdaRq
