IronPigs Unveil Reflective Twill Uniforms

IronPigs reflective uniforms

As part of their 10th anniversary celebration, the Lehigh Valley IronPigs (Class AAA; International League) will debut reflective twill uniforms in 2017. Created by Majestic, the unique reflective twill and number technology uniforms will be worn during home games.

The new on-field jersey uses reflective material that was formulated via low candle power that allows it to reflect and illuminate vividly when in close proximity to flash photography. The brand-new on-field cap features the iconic primary IronPigs logo carved in gold while the revolutionary jersey also includes gold finishings within the IronPigs word mark to complete the fresh new look.

The 10th anniversary on-field and retail collection – including Cool Base® replica jerseys with reflective twill technology and the brand-new on-field gold cap design – is now available at ironpigs.milbstore.com. The collection is also now available at the Majestic Clubhouse Store at Coca-Cola Park, with the exception of the new reflective jersey, which will be available for in-store purchase beginning on Black Friday at 8 a.m.

“The IronPigs have become the gold standard due to our unprecedented fan support so it was a natural evolution to showcase the color gold in our 10th anniversary uniform,” remarked IronPigs President & G.M. Kurt Landes. “We’re also ecstatic because for the first time ever, our fans can ‘wear what the pros wear, before the pros do’ with our innovative new reflective jersey design from Majestic.”

The IronPigs’ historic agreement with Majestic reached earlier this year not only provides the same revolutionary Flex Base uniform system worn by all 30 clubs throughout Major League Baseball but also presents opportunities for the team and outfitter to test pioneering uniform elements in advance of inclusion into the MLB club uniform programs. The reflective technology that the IronPigs are debuting in 2017 has never been worn on-field in professional baseball. Since the material was formulated with low candle power, it will not disrupt game play.

While this new uniform combination will be worn as the primary home jersey in 2017, all other on-field uniforms remain unchanged.
