Biloxi Shuckers logoWe have a replacement for Buck Rogers as Biloxi Shuckers (Class AA; Southern League) GM: Chuck Arnold, formerly of the Pensacola Blue Wahoos.

Arnold comes to the Shuckers after serving two years as Sales Director and was recently promoted to Vice President of Sales for the Blue Wahoos. During his time with the Blue Wahoos, Arnold oversaw the entire sales department, including corporate advertising sales, season ticket and group sales, setting sales records for ad sales and group sales both seasons.

“Chuck is a rising star in the game of baseball and brings a high level of knowledge and enthusiasm to this organization,” said Biloxi team president Ken Young. “We have a talented staff in place for the 2016 season, and Chuck will be at the forefront to lead the group and give our fans the greatest experience possible.”

Prior to joining the Blue Wahoos, Arnold spent eight years as General Manager of the Johnson City Cardinals (rookie; Appalachian League). Prior to his time as GM, he was the Assistant GM for the Johnson City club for two seasons and had a brief stint as an Assistant Baseball Coach at King University. Chuck has also served as an Adjunct Instructor of Sports Marketing at his alma mater, Milligan College. Following his time at Milligan, Chuck attended East Tennessee State University and received a master’s degree in Sports and Leisure Management.

“I am excited and honored to be able to lead this great group of people and be a part of the community,” said Arnold. “I want to thank Ken Young and John Traub (vice president) for giving me this tremendous opportunity. We are going to place customer service as our top priority, and I am determined to build on the foundation that was laid during the historic first season at MGM Park.”
