‘Topes to welcome 7-millionth fan this weekend

Albuquerque IsotopesWe have a significant milestone coming up for the Albuquerque Isotopes (Class AAA; Pacific Coast League): the team will welcome the 7-millionth fan in team history to Isotopes Park this weekend.

The Lab has hosted 6,976,368 fans to date, just 23,632 shy of seven million. The milestone is expected to happen Saturday night.

“We’ve been extremely fortunate to have such great support from the community going on 13 years now, and its very humbling to be able to welcome our 7 millionth fan to Isotopes Park,” General Manager John Traub said. “Very few Minor League Baseball teams reach this milestone as quickly as we did.”

The lucky 7 millionth fan will win a trip to a Colorado Rockies game this season. Included in the package will be two tickets to a Rockies game, two round-trip airline tickets to Denver courtesy of All World Travel and hotel accommodations for one night.

Orbit will have a special welcome for the lucky winner upon entry, and the individual will be recognized on the field during that night’s game.

Now in their 13th season, the Isotopes annually rank among Minor League Baseball’s attendance leaders — last year the team ranked #10 in overall average game attendance. The club has ranked in the top five for overall attendance and average attendance in the Pacific Coast League since they came into existence in 2003.
