Craft brewer lands Pirates naming-rights deal

Pittsburgh PiratesNice addition to PNC Park: local craft brewer Rivertowne Brewing Company has purchased naming rights to the Pirates’ Hall of Fame Club, with brews available there on tap.

“The Pirates continually strive to use local vendors at PNC Park when possible and this is another great example of the success the team has had in incorporating local businesses,” said Pirates President Frank Coonelly. “The inclusion of Pittsburgh businesses like Rivertowne Brewing in and around the ballpark is what makes every visit to PNC Park a true Pittsburgh experience.”

Rivertowne Brewing Company is a craft brewer in suburban Export.

The new Rivertowne Brewing Hall of Fame Club is a unique area of the ballpark open to all ticket holders before, during and after each game. The most noticeable addition to the area will come in the form of a complete selection of Rivertowne craft beers available on tap, such as the Babbling Blonde, Maxwell’s Scottish Ale, Old Wylie’s IPA and more. The space– located in the left field area of PNC Park– will continue to be operated by Aramark.

The club offers a casual dining and sports bar atmosphere with wait service and features an open-floor plan with table seating for more than 215 guests and 20 flat screen high-definition televisions to ensure fans do not miss a moment of the action on the field.
