Salvi joins Murray, Schley as owner of Martha’s Vineyard Sharks

Martha's Vineyard SharksA lot of familiar names here, as Pat Salvi — owner of the Schaumburg Boomers, the North Shore Navigators and Gary-SouthShore Railcats — joins the ownership team of the Martha’s Vineyard Sharks.

Salvi joins some pretty big names in the Sharks ownership group, which includes Van Schley and actor Bill Murray. (Nice to see Van’s name back on an ownership roll.) Hannah Schley is president of the Sharks, while Chris Carminucci — who has seemingly worked at every level of baseball, ranging from college coach to MLB scout — is CEO.

Salvi Sports Enterprises has teams in the independent Frontier League (the Boomers), the independent American Association (the Railcats) and the Futures Collegiate Baseball League (Navigators and Sharks).

The Sharks enter their second year of play within the Futures Collegiate Baseball League of New England (FCBL).
