Professional Sports Catering adds Dayton to portfolio

Dayton DragonsProfessional Sports Catering, in conjunction with Mandalay Baseball Properties, announced today that PSC will manage the food and beverage operation at Fifth Third Field, home of the Dayton Dragons (Low Class A; Midwest League).

“Dayton is one of the top MiLB franchises in the country,” said Tom Dickson, CEO of PSC. “We are excited about this partnership and the opportunity to provide fresh, quality food and top-notch service to Dragons fans.”

Known for their unique variety of menu options, PSC plans to bring in specialty food carts to deliver entrées cooked fresh in front of fans. PSC will manage all aspects of the food operation, including concessions, catering and staffing for all Dragons home games.

On July 9, 2011 the Dragons eclipsed the Portland Trail Blazers’ streak of 814 consecutive sellouts to become the longest run in U.S. professional sports. Mandalay’s service-oriented approach has allowed them to build a strong fan base for over a decade, and this new partnership with PSC shows their commitment to improving upon one of the best ballpark experiences in MiLB.

“The Dayton Dragons are very excited about our new food and beverage partner in Professional Sports Catering,” said Dragons team president Bob Murphy. “Professional Sports Catering’s approach to fresh food, customer service and focus on providing fans with an exciting dining experience at the ballpark aligns with our core values.”

Professional Sports Catering, LLC is the only full-service food & beverage company that focuses exclusively on Minor League Baseball. Tom Dickson and his partner, Sherrie Myers launched the company in 2005 to serve the needs of minor league baseball teams across the country. The PSC business model focuses on high quality, fresh, cooked-before-your-eyes food and a high level of customer service and partnership with its clients. In 2011, PSC announced a joint venture partnership with Mandalay Baseball Properties, who have become active partners in the strategic growth of the company.
