The Bowling Green Hot Rods sign a three-year naming-rights deal with a local credit union to highlight the green features at Bowling Green Ballpark.
The Bowling Green Hot Rods (Low Class A; Sally League) announced a new green-based three-year partnership with Service One Credit Union. The financial institution will have naming rights for the grass berm in right field at Bowling Green Ballpark and the new grass seating section set to open for the 2010 season in center field.
“We are excited to have Service One Credit Union on board as our green seats partner,” said Hot Rods General Manager and CEO Brad Taylor. “In addition to providing strong financial options for its members, Service One is dedicated to environmentally sustainable practices, something we have strived for since day one.”
The Service One Credit Union Green Seats represent a tangible connection between the Hot Rods’ and Service One Credit Union’s respective “green” initiatives. At Bowling Green Ballpark , the team has installed state-of-the-art remote-lighting systems to eliminate extraneous lighting. Other practices implemented include motion-sensed lights, low-flow shower heads, and in-stadium recycling.
Service One Credit Union’s sustainability efforts are highlighted by their recently completed “green” building on Campbell Lane. Featuring a living environment on its roof, Service One Credit Union is expecting, among other benefits, to save up to 90% on energy expenditures over the new building’s lifetime compared to its current existing structure.
“As an environmentally-conscious credit union, Service One embraces the opportunity to sponsor the Green Seats for the Bowling Green Hot Rods,” said Valerie Brown, Service One Credit Union President and CEO. “These seats help the community and our members save the ‘Green’.”
Service One Credit Union Green Seats will be just $5 per seat, as they were in 2009. New signage will adorn the ballpark for the 2010 season, branding each grass berm Service One Credit Union Green Seats. Service One Credit Union will also be branded on Green Seats tickets, in-stadium publications, and other Hot Rods promotional pieces.
