RIP, Cubs fans

A section of Bohemian National Cemetery on Chicago’s North Side has been enhanced with a brick wall and ivy emulating Wrigley Field, giving die-hard Cubs fans the perfect resting place. Here’s something you don’t see every day: A section of Bohemian National Cemetery on Chicago’s North Side has been enhanced with a brick wall and ivy emulating Wrigley Field, giving die-hard Cubs fans the perfect resting place.

The wall features original Wrigley Field bricks and will sport four retired Wrigley Field box seats. Down the line the cemetery manager plan a stained-glass window scoreboard.

The wall is large enough to hold 288 urns containing the remains of your loved ones and/or Cubs fans. "Going to visit loved ones at the cemetery can be a bit gloomy at times, which is why I wanted to transform the experience of the cemetery visit," said Dennis Mascari, CEO of Fans Forever LLC in Chicago. "At Beyond the Vines, you can sit in authenticated Cubs box seats, walk on the antiquated Wrigley Field pavers, or stand on the recently removed Wrigley turf. You’ll be able to go back in time and reminisce about those great moments you’ve shared with your departed."
