Roger Dean Stadium, spring training home of the Miami Marlins and St. Louis Cardinals, is receiving a slight name change, as it is now Roger Dean Chevrolet Stadium. This is the result of a 10-year agreement.
Roger Dean Chevrolet has been the only naming rights partner in the 21-year history of the venue, after agreeing on a 13-year pact on July 9, 1996; the partnership was renewed on September 1, 2009 for an additional seven years.
“We are thrilled to have Roger Dean Chevrolet as our naming rights partner for another 10 years,” said Mike Bauer, General Manager of Roger Dean Chevrolet Stadium. “The Dean Family has been a staple in our community and at the stadium for decades, and we look forward to their continued partnership with our facility.”

We are thankful to everyone for their consistent patronage of the stadium and we are anxious for this season to start,” said Patty Dean, daughter of Roger Dean, and her husband Park Miller.
Roger Houston Dean was born in 1915 and served as a naval officer in World War II. He started his career as an auto dealer with Ford Motor Company in 1947 and became one of the first mega-dealers in the United States. Mr. Dean made Palm Beach County his home in 1960 when he opened his Chevrolet dealership on Dixie Highway, and then built a new dealership in West Palm Beach on Okeechobee Boulevard and Congress Avenue in 1965. Mr. Dean loved the area and was proud to be a supporter of the stadium.
Roger Dean Chevrolet Stadium, which opened in 1998, is the Spring Training home of the Marlins and Cardinals, in addition to the regular season home of the High A Florida State League’s Jupiter Hammerheads and Palm Beach Cardinals.
