Olerud joined the Nationals two seasons ago from the Rockford RiverHawks (independent; Frontier League and according to Weiss, “has just done an extraordinary job. As soon as he joined us he oversaw the expansion of our club house, bringing it in on time and within budget. This last off season he was the point guy to oversee the complete reconstruction of our field. He got contractors to bid and then was our representative to make sure the job was done right, on budget and delivered on time.”
Nationals’ owner Art Silber adds: “Josh has just done a wonderful job for us. He has forged new partnerships for us with the business community and established a relationship with our sponsors and fans that are greatly appreciated.”
“I want to thank Art, Lani and Seth for the support and confidence in me,” Olerud said. Our staff is looking to finish this season strong and continue our growth in the community.”
