Personnel News: Delmarva, Winston-Salem

Delmarva Shorebirds

We have personnel news to report from the Delmarva Shorebirds (Low A; Sally League) and the Winston-Salem Dash (High A; Carolina League). 

The Shorebirds have promoted two employees and brought in three new staff members to their front office in preparation for the 2019 season.

Eric Sichau has been promoted to Assistant General Manager of Marketing. Previously, Sichau had served in many roles since joining the Shorebirds in February 2012. Sichau started as a front office and marketing intern before moving on to being a part time inside sales representative in 2013, a full time sales account executive, on-field MC from 2012 to 2015, and most recently as the Director of Marketing & Promotions since September of 2015. In his new role, Sichau will continue to oversee all marketing and promotional planning initiatives and execution, the community relations and communications departments, and the game day experiences for all fans as it pertains to the press box staff and on-field crew, the flock, in addition to assisting in other facets of the overall Shorebirds operations.

Ben Posner has been promoted to Director of Ticket Operations. Posner had previously held the title of Box Office Manager since January of 2015. In his new role, Posner will continue to oversee the operations of the Shorebirds’ box office and selling group and season tickets in addition to managing the ticket department budget, managing online sales, using data to drive more ticket sales, and assisting in other areas of the ticket department.

Kevin Odell joins the Shorebirds as a Ticket Sales Account Executive where he sells group and season tickets. Odell is also in charge of organizing Little League Lineups, Little League Night on Saturday, May 11th, and Shorebirds Baseball Camps. Odell was born and raised on the Eastern Shore and currently resides in Princess Anne with his wife, Kristina, and their one year old son, Kaleb. Kevin is an avid sports fan and a PGA Golf Professional. He graduated from University of Maryland Eastern Shore with a degree in PGA Golf Course Management.

Joseph DeLucia also joins the Shorebirds organization as a Ticket Sales Account Executive. DeLucia sells group and season tickets and will be in charge of organizing the Shorebirds’ Scout Night and Faith & Family Night. DeLucia graduated from the University of North Carolina Wilmington in 2017 with a Bachelor of Science in Business Administration with a concentration in Management and Leadership. He joins the Shorebirds after working for the Northwest Arkansas Naturals (Class AA; Texas League).

Chip Woytowitz joins the Shorebirds as a Ticket Sales Account Executive, as well. In addition to selling group and season tickets, Woytowitz will be the main point of contact for teachers and schools for the Shorebirds’ Field of Dreams days. Woytowitz attended Old Dominion University and received a Bachelors of Science in Sports Management. Prior to joining the Shorebirds, Woytowitz worked for the Norfolk Tides (Class AAA; International League) for two seasons in their Stadium Operations and Group Sales departments. In his free time, Chip enjoys going to the beach, kayaking, and playing golf.

We are also happy to welcome Kevin, Joseph, and Chip to the front office team. These individuals bring with them a great deal of experience and we are excited to have them represent the Shorebirds and the Delmarva community”, said General Manager, Chris Bitters.

In Winston-Salem, the Dash have announced new front office hires for the 2019 season.

Jenny Fulton, who was the owner of locally-run Miss Jenny’s Pickles company over the last eight years, has joined the ballclub as the Director of Corporate Partnership Sales. Jordan McGinnis, Autumn Sharp and Will Wyatt have been added to the ticket sales department, and Adam Natzke has joined the Dash as a Corporate Partnerships Assistant. Meanwhile, Ben Kendrew and Owen Wilson have been elevated to full-time positions within the ticket department. Kendrew will now serve as a Group Sales Representative, and Wilson will maintain his Box Office Manager duties.

A native of Forsyth County, Fulton is also an elected official for the Town of Kernersville, serving on their Board of Alderman and overseeing the business of the town. Known as the “Pickle Lady” in Kernersville, Fulton started Miss Jenny’s Pickles in 2009. Her products were in more than 1,200 stores in the U.S., and, due to her leadership, she was named North Carolina’s Agriculture Exporter of the Year in 2015. Miss Jenny’s Pickles was also featured on 60 Minutes and numerous newspaper articles and online blogs.

Sharp joins the team as a Business Development Representative. Prior to her arrival with the Dash, she worked in Retail Sales with the Great Lakes Loons (Low A; Midwest League) in Midland, Mich. A Michigan native, Sharp was also a member of the MiLB FIELD Program Class of 2018.

Wyatt will also serve as a Business Development Representative. A graduate of the University of Alabama, Wyatt previously worked as a marketing assistant with the Dayton Dragons (Low A; Midwest League). He recently obtained his master’s degree from Troy University in Sport Management.

McGinnis, a graduate of Manhattan College, has signed on as a Ticket Sales and Services Representative. Prior to joining the Dash, McGinnis interned for Daymond John’s consulting firm, the Shark Group, as a legal intern. In the summer of 2017, McGinnis was a training camp intern for the Kansas City Chiefs. He was also a student manager for the Jaspers men’s basketball team during his time in college.

Natzke, who is a Ballwin, Missouri, native, spent one summer with the River City Rascals (independent; Frontier League) as a Corporate Partnership Activation intern, along with one season with the Lakeshore Chinooks (summer collegiate; Northwoods League). Natzke graduated from Concordia University Wisconsin with a degree in Sport and Entertainment Business.

Kendrew, who served as a Ticket Sales and Services Representative in 2018, will begin in his second year with the Dash. The Lynnfield, Mass., native was instrumental in crafting ticket packages to local businesses and helping the Dash lead all of High-A baseball in attendance

Wilson will begin his second year with the Dash in 2019 as well. A native of Toledo, Ohio, Wilson previous worked with the Stockton Ports (High A; California League) and the Toledo Mud Hens (Class AAA; International League) before relocating to Winston-Salem.
