Woodpeckers, PSC Announce Partnership

Fayetteville Woodpeckers

The Fayetteville Woodpeckers (High A; Carolina League) and Professional Sports Catering (PSC) have struck a long-term partnership, giving PSC a major role at the team’s new ballpark. PSC will manage all aspects of the food operations at Fayetteville’s new ballpark, including concessions, catering, and food-and-beverage staffing for special events held at the facility.

“The Woodpeckers are committed to providing a unique, high-energy and high-quality experience for our fans,” said Fayetteville Woodpeckers President Mark Zarthar.  “Food and beverage are critical components to any live sporting event but particularly in Minor League Baseball.  PSC is a strategic, forward thinking organization. Their commitment to challenging the status quo and designing unique, shareable menu items will help elevate our stadium to a premier sports and entertainment destination.”

“We couldn’t be more excited to expand our partnership with the Astros organization with this incredible new ballpark”, said PSC’s Founder and CEO Tom Dickson.  “Mark, Dan, David and the team have a tremendous vision for the fan experience in downtown Fayetteville.  We are hard at work creating unique menus and experiences that celebrate the local region and deliver an incredible variety to the Woodpecker fans.  We can’t wait for Opening Day!”

Fayetteville’s ballpark will open in April of 2019.  Unique elements of the stadium include an outfield bar featuring live music, lounge seating, corn hole, foosball, and several televisions.  A home plate bar will feature a wide selection of craft beers and activities. The ballpark’s premium club level, party deck, six luxury suites and four field boxes will provide fans with a high-end, full-service viewing occasion.  All permanent and portable concessions stations will feature unique, original food concepts with branding that ties to Fayetteville and nearby Fort Bragg.
