Big milestone for the Las Vegas Aviators (Class AAA; Pacific Coast League) as the team preps for an April opening: the first seats have been installed at Las Vegas Ballpark.
The seats are 4Topps Premium Seating’s AirFlow Mesh seats. Over 8,000 seats will be installed in the ballpark’s lower tier bowls, suites and party zones, as well as in both outfield corner sections, where the seats will swivel 360 degrees with a front beverage railing. The 150-million ballpark will have an overall capacity of 10,000 and feature a wide array of seating options, including 22 suites, along with berm seating, club seats, party decks, and more. It has been a very eventful offseason for the former Las Vegas 51s. The new ballpark is slated to open in April, and the team announced a rebranding to Las Vegas Aviators in a homage to Las Vegas legend and the founder of the team’s corporate owner, Howard Hughes. The team signed a new affiliate deal with the Oakland Athletics and Don Logan, who has been with the team for 35 years, was named PCL Executive of the Year.
