Gole to Replace Preimesberger as GM of Kingfish

Kenosha Kingfish

The Kenosha Kingfish (summer collegiate; Northwoods League) are preparing for a transition, as Doug Gole will replace Scott Preimesberger as General Manager. Gole will move into the position on September 15.

Preimesberger recently accepted a management role with the parent company of the Kingfish, Big Top Baseball, in Madison to oversee the inside sales departments for both the Madison Mallards and Madison Pro Soccer.

Gole has more than 20 years of sports marketing, ticket sales and management experience that will prove beneficial in leading the Kingfish into their sixth season. In his most recent position, Gole was the Suite & Club Level Sales Manager at the BMO Harris Bradley Center during the building’s final four years.

A graduate of Carthage College, Gole is no stranger to Kenosha and is looking forward to being back in the community helping enhance the Kingfish experience for fans and partners.

“We want to thank Scott for continuing to grow the Kingfish brand during the 2018 season and we are excited for his next challenge within the Big Top Baseball family in Madison,” said Big Top Baseball Chief Operating Officer  Conor Caloia. “Doug’s combination of experience and enthusiasm, in addition to his tie to Kenosha, make him the perfect fit as the next leader of the Kingfish. We can’t wait to watch Doug and the great full-time and seasonal staff take the Kingfish to the next level at Simmons Field and in the community.”

Gole recently started working in the Kenosha office and over the next two months he will work with Preimesberger to smoothly transition into the leadership role.

“It’s such a perfect opportunity,” explained Gole.  “I’ve been so impressed with the support the community of Kenosha has for this team. I want to enhance the already great experience, so we can continue to move the Kingfish forward both in the eyes of fans and sponsors. It will be a fun ride and I’m committed to it.”
