Some front-office news from the Jackson Generals (Class AA; Southern League) as Jason Compton is promoted to team president and Nick Hall is named the team’s new general manager.
Hall is entering his ninth season with the Jackson Generals and just completed his second as Assistant GM. As the team’s fifth General Manager and will be leading the day-to-day operations of the franchise as the team enters its 21st season in Jackson.
Compton, who will enter his 19th season with the team in 2018, will still be heavily involved with the operation of the franchise as Team President, but it will be more on a corporate level as he also assists with other endeavors of the ownership group. The Huntingdon, TN native and former West Tenn Diamond Jaxx intern has been an intrical part of baseball in Jackson for almost two decades.
