Louisville Baseball to Charge Admission in 2018

Louisville Cardinals

The Unviersity of Louisville recently announced that it will begin charging admission for games at Jim Patterson Stadium, a decision that takes effect for 2018.

In an announcement issued on Wednesday, Louisville detailed its pricing plans for next season. While students will receive free admission by presenting a valid student ID, other single-game seats will start at $10. Louisville will also offer a season pass plan. Those plans are expected to begin at $150 for the year, and include admission for a reserved, chair-back seat.

Jim Patterson Stadium could undergo some changes in the coming years, as Louisville officials have taken some steps toward an expansion to the facility. Tom Jurich, Louisville’s vice president and director of athletics, noted th planning of expansion in a statement that was issued by the university. More from The Courier-Journal:

“We are in the early stages of planning a major expansion project for the stadium that will make it even better for all.”

The U of L Athletic Association’s finance committee in April authorized a $9.5 million expansion of Jim Patterson Stadium, an initial step in a project that would add 2,600 seats and more restrooms and concessions to the facility.
