There is an upgrade on tap at Memorial Stadium, where the Boise Hawks (Short Season A; Northwest League) are installing a new videoboard for the 2017 season.

Measuring at 15’9 high and 37’9.5 wide (nearly 600 square feet of video display space), this 16mm LED display plans to drastically change the Boise Hawks fan experience at Memorial Stadium and enhance all special events.

“We have strived each year to improve the fan experience at Memorial Stadium, and we felt this was a logical next step in bring our in-park experience to another level,” said Boise Hawks and Agon Sports and Entertainment president Jeff Eiseman. “We are grateful that we have received so much community support for the Hawks in our two seasons of ownership and this was just another way we could say thank you and sincerely show our fans that we really do care and are working very hard to grow the Boise Hawks.”

Along with the new display, powered with total 648,000 LEDs, the Hawks will be overhauling their control room, including HD video cameras. The new display will offer the ability to show live video, instant replays, video clips, statistics, graphics and sponsorship messages.

“I think we are all excited to see the video board in place for the upcoming 2017 season,” said Bob Flannery, Boise Hawks general manager. “What a great way to help celebrate our 30th anniversary. We are sure the video board will enhance both our corporate partnerships as well as our fan’s experience.”
