There is some personnel news to report from the Lowell Spinners (Short Season A; NY-Penn League), who have announced a series of additions and promotions.

Jamie Arthur has been named the Director of Merchandise & Community Relations.  Arthur is responsible for spear-heading the new look of the Spinners and overhauling the merchandise side of the operation.  In addition she serves as the main point of contact on all community relations initiatives for the Spinners.   She joined the Spinners in 2016.  She is a graduate of Pittsburg State University with a degree in Communication.  Prior to joining the Spinners, she worked as a sports writer and owned her own photography business.  Jamie is originally from Pittsburg, Kansas and has also lived in Kansas City and Nashville.

Julia McNeil has been named the Manager of Group Ticket Sales.  McNeil will manage the group ticket sales staff, the sales associate program as well as service and ticket operations.   Julia joined the Spinners in 2015, initially as a PR/Marketing intern.  She is a graduate of Lyndon College, located in Vermont, and earned her bachelor’s degree in Sports Management along with an associate’s degree in Business Administration.  During her college career she played Division III softball and was very involved within the Lyndon community.

In addition to the promotions, the Spinners have bolstered the business development side of the team, with the addition of four members.

Dave O’Brien has been named Ticket Sales Executive.  A recent graduate of Saint Leo University with a Bachelor’s degree in Communication Management, Dave was a PR/Marketing intern for the Spinners from 2014-2015.  Prior to coming back to the Spinners, he spent time in the auto sales industry.

Devin DeCarteret has been named Corporate Sales Executive.  After interning with the Spinners in 2015 and consulting with the team in 2016, he is now responsible for furthering and enhancing the Spinners corporate sales division. He is a graduate of Daniel Webster College where he received a Bachelor’s in Sport Management with a minor in Marketing Management.

Continuing the trend of grooming home grown talent, the Spinners have developed a Ticket Sales & Operations Associate program.  The program will begin this season with the additions of Matt Cummings, Riley Robar and Howell Morris who join the Spinners in the role of Ticket Sales & Operations Associate.

“We are thrilled to elevate Jamie and Julia to these management level positions and welcome Devin, Dave, Matt, Riley and Howell to the Spinners organization,” said Spinners owner Dave Heller.  “As we work to create a new front office culture in Lowell, Jamie and Julia have already set a new standard of excellence. They have earned their promotions. Matt, Riley and Howell each embody the character, leadership, creativity and work ethic that we greatly value. Together, they will help us continue the Spinners’ impressive turnaround.”
