We have personnel news to report from the Frederick Keys (High A; Carolina League) and the Eau Claire Express (summer collegiate; Northwoods League).

In Frederick, the Keys have added three new members to their front office staff.

A former marketing intern and group sales assistant with the Keys in 2013, Erin Lawson returns to the club as marketing manager. Before coming back to Frederick, she worked for the Jacksonville Jaguars marketing department. As the Street Team Captain, she traveled to different events to promote the team and maintained the Street Team social media accounts. A Collierville, TN native, Lawson graduated from the University of Indiana in 2014 with a degree in sport marketing and management.

Mike Dunn rejoins the Keys staff this year as head groundskeeper. In previous years, Dunn has worked as a gameday member of the grounds crew. Before coming to Frederick, he was heads groundskeeper for the Oneonta Tigers (now the Connecticut Tigers) of the Short-Season New York-Penn League, as well as the Cooperstown All-Star Village. He has also worked with local entities Brinkman Group and Grounds Keeping Solutions.

Evan Dennis begins his first season in Frederick as the Keys home clubhouse manager. Dennis comes to Frederick from the hockey world, where he spent last season as a video scout for the Saginaw Spirit in the Ontario Hockey League. No stranger to minor league baseball, Dennis has also worked for the Princeton Rays (Rookie; Appalachian League). Dennis is from Canton, MI, and graduated from Madonna University, a liberal arts college in the Detroit suburb of Livonia.

In Eau Claire, the Express have appointed Colin Yeager to the position of director of marketing and corporate service.

Yeager fills the vacancy left when Zach Czubakowski recently departed for a position at Texas Tech University.

Yeager has past experience in various marketing and communications roles with Rollins College, the Orlando City Soccer Club, University of Central Florida and the Florida Collegiate Summer League. In these positions he participated in sponsorship activation, fan relations, and media relations among other areas. During his internship with the Florida Collegiate Summer League, he had the opportunity to learn many aspects of the day-to-day operation of a summer collegiate baseball team.

“We’re lucky to have someone with the varied experience of Collin join our front office team,” CFO and part-owner Andy Neborak stated. “He comes in with a lot of energy and we’re excited about the new ideas he will bring to the fan experience at Carson Park.”

Collin’s position with the Express will include oversight of the part-time staff at Carson Park, sponsorship activation, community relations along with some media relations and graphic design work. As with all front office positions with the Express, he will be involved in most aspects of the operation in some way.
