Oakland A’s Lowering Beer Prices

Coliseum City, Oakland

Fans at the Coliseum will not be paying as much for beer this season, as the Oakland A’s have announced reduced beer prices.

With the regular season just weeks away, the A’s and team president Dave Kaval are trying to spruce up the fan experience at the Oakland-Alameda County Coliseum. Of course, the long-term goal for the A’s is still to get a new ballpark in Oakland, but the announcement of lower beer prices comes after the team has unveiled plans for revamped concession offerings and other changes to the fan experience at their current home.

The new prices will include beers in the range of $8 to $10. More from the San Jose Mercury News:

Kaval said all of their 77 20-ounce beers will be priced at $8 and $10, which will be the lowest-priced beer of any Bay Area pro teams. All premium and craft beers will be $10 and all domestic drafts will cost $8.

Kaval and the A’s have already injected enthusiasm into the team’s fan base by embracing their pursuit of a new stadium in Oakland, listening to their fans’ ideas, delivering a cost-free FanFest and naming their field after Rickey Henderson. They also announced a huge makeover in their food selection at the Coliseum, with 40 new or improved food option, not to mention having food trucks on site.

The A’s will play their first home game on April 3, when they face the Los Angeles of Anaheim.
