Time Warner opts out of T-Rattlers naming-right deal

Wisconsin Timber RattlersTime Warner Cable Field at Fox Cities Stadium, home of the Wisconsin Timber Rattlers (Low Class A; Midwest League), will have a new name after Time Warner opted out of its naming-rights deal.

The ten-year naming-rights deal with Time Warner allowed the cable firm to opt out of the agreement earlier, and Time Warner chose to exercise that option, per the Wisconsin Radio Network. Timber Rattlers officials expect to have a new naming-rights partner in place for the 2014 season.

The ballpark opened in 1995 as Fox Cities Stadium and underwent a significant upgrade for the 2013 season with the addition of a second deck.
