To celebrate the makeover of the team, the Buffalo Bisons (Class AAA; International League) unveiled new uniforms today — including a cool alt uniform that mirrors the look of parent Toronto Blue Jays.

That alternate uniform is shown above. Here’s the standard home uniform:

“We couldn’t be more anxious to see our team take the field on Opening Day. We’ve received fantastic fan feedback of our new logo design. These new uniforms are the perfect complement to our new look and will not only energize our fans, but also make them proud of our long-standing tradition in Buffalo,” said Mike Buczkowski, Vice President/General Manager of the Buffalo Bisons.

In the creation of their new uniforms, the Bisons paid special attention to popular team jerseys from the past. The use of a ‘Scarlet Red’ lettering and ‘Reflex Blue’ numbers on the front of the ‘Ice White’ home and gray road uniforms was taken from the jerseys worn by the team in the early years of Coca-Cola Field. A ‘Hitting Buster’ has also returned to the team’s official on-field cap, a look Bisons fans have long enjoyed from those first seasons at the ballpark.

The alternate jersey pays special tribute to the team’s new affiliation with the Toronto Blue Jays. The numbering on the front and back is the same style incorporated by the Herd’s new major league parent club. The alternate jersey will also feature a bi-national patch on the sleeve displaying the American and Canadian flags together.
