Storm Chasers return to KOIL-AM, add Pollock, Spanish broadcasts

Omaha Storm ChasersThe Omaha Storm Chasers (Class AAA; Pacific Coast League) announced several broadcasting-related moves today, including an extension of their broadcast agreement with KOIL-AM, the introduction of weekend Spanish broadcasts, and the addition of Brett Pollock to the broadcast booth, alongside Mark Nasser.

The extension with NRG Media continues a 15-year relationship between the club and the Omaha radio broadcaster. KOIL-AM 1180 will broadcast all 144 games announced by Mark Nasser, while KMMQ-AM 1020 “La Nueva” will air all 24 Friday and Sunday home games, featuring Jose Ramon on the call.

“We are proud to continue our partnership with the premier sports radio family in the Omaha area, NRG Media,” said Storm Chasers Vice President and General Manager Martie Cordaro. “Adding more games in Spanish this year was an easy decision because of our growing community relations outreach.”

Nasser, the Storm Chasers Director of Broadcasting, will be joined in the broadcast booth by Brett Pollock for all 72 home games this season.

Pollock, a graduate of Syracuse University’s renowned broadcast journalism school, joins the Storm Chasers after a one-year hiatus from professional baseball. Previously he served as the broadcaster for the El Paso Diablos (1998-2003), Lakewood BlueClaws (2004) and Huntsville Stars (2005-09). He will pair with Nasser for home games and host the pregame and post-game shows while the Storm Chasers are on the road during the PCL season.
