August Publications was formed in 2003 with the launch of Ballpark Digest. Since that time the company has grown from a single employee working out of a home to a diversified publishing firm featuring Websites, books and other merchandise. Our motto is simple: We enjoy doing cool things and are overjoyed we can make a living doing so.

We can definitively say this Barry Zito bobblehead issued by the Sacramento River Cats (Class AAA; Pacific Coast League) won't win any awards this season.
Ryan Gates is the new COO/GM of the Bowling Green Hot Rods (Low Class A; Sally League), assuming the chief operating officer duties following the departure of Brad Taylor for El Paso.
The as-yet-unnamed Class AAA Pacific Coast League team in El Paso now has a general manager, as industry vet Brad Taylor was named to the post today.
Just a reminder: we're entering the final days of the Ballpark Digest reader survey, and we want to hear from you about some new ventures we're considering for the future.
Pat Salvi, who has emerged in recent years as an investor in independent and summer-collegiate baseball, is upping the ante with the formation of a food and beverage company.
