2019 Preview: New York Yankees, Yankee Stadium

Milkshakes 2019 - All 4 Together Horiz 2 Yankee Stadium

Ballpark Digest is previewing what every MLB team is doing to begin the season, both on and off the field, as the 2019 campaign is around the corner. Up next: the New York Yankees and Yankee Stadium.

Some new flavors are coming to Yankee Stadium this year, as new food and beverage options highlight the additions to the ballpark this year. With these offerings, the Yankees are not only mixing up their concessions lineup, but building on the work they have done in recent years to provide more social gathering spaces around the facility.

Shake Stands around the ballpark will now offer Yankee Stadium Grand Slam Milk Shakes, with the Tres Leches Shake–first introduced last September as part of Hispanic Heritage month–joining the Celebration Shake, Pinstripe Shake and Chocolate All-Star Shake among the options for this year. The Tres Leches Shake features vanilla shake, tres leches cake, churro, condensed milk, rim-garnished with puffed rice. Shake Stands are located at Sections 115, 125, and 324.

Buffalo Wild Wings is joining the ballpark’s concessions lineup, serving traditional and boneless wings at a stand at Section 107. Meanwhile, Bareburger at Section 132 will carry a broad array of offerings, including but not limited to bison (El Matador), Avocado Bites, and Changeup Burger–an Impossible 2.0 burger, topped with American cheese, caramelized onions, dill pickles, green leaf, special sauce, and served on a sprout bun. Mighty Quinn’s BBQ will feature a number of options at the Mighty Quinn’s stand at Section 132, including Baby Back Ribs and the MQRib Sandwich. The MQRib Sandwich features slow-smoked baby back rib meat covered in MQ’s black cherry BBQ sauce, garnished with dill pickles and white onions, served on a soft white roll. Another new feature for this year is Melissa’s Farmer’s Market, a stand at 121B that includes options such as Kosher Wraps, fresh fruit, and assorted prepared salads.

The Mastercard Batter’s Eye Deck will provide fans some food options in a social setting, including a Double Cheeseburger, plus Roast Beef Po’boy, Shrimp Po’boy, and a Crispy Chicken Maple Sandwich that is available in a few other locations around Yankee Stadium. Additionally, the Frank’s Redhot Terrace (left field) and Toyota Terrace (right field) will both offer unique food items, while Lobel’s will serve up options ranging from a Lobel’s USDA Prime Steak Sandwich to Steak & Potato Fries.

As far as drink options go, fans will find some interesting options at Yankee Stadium this season. City Winery is back this season, with the area at Section 106 offering a wide variety of bottled wines, plus Sauvignon Blanc 2017 (Wash.); Rosé 2018 (Calif.); and a Red Bordeaux Blend 2017 (Wash.) on tap. Food options for this season include a Burrata Burger, City Winery Burger, and loaded top fries. The loaded top fries come in two different varities, including chorizo white queso, tomatillo avocado salsa, chipotle aioli, cilantro & onion, and Mexican street corn relish; as well as pastrami, Swiss cheese sauce, sauerkraut, Russian dressing, half sour pickle, and everything spice.

New York-based Blue Point Brewing Company will be featured at various points throughout Yankee Stadium. This season, the Yankees and Blue Point are teaming up to introduce NY Pinstripe Pilsner–a Yankees-themed beer served exclusively at Yankee Stadium and available at the Blue Point Bleacher Bar on the 200 level in left field.

Exclusive drink options will not be limited to beer. SPLASH Premium Mixers is providing one of the highlights for the 2019 season, as it has created a new signature cocktail named the Grand Slam exclusively for the Yankees.
