New Seats on Tap at Arm & Hammer Park

Arm and Hammer Park

ARM & HAMMER Park is gradually receiving a significant upgrade, as the Trenton Thunder (Class AA; Eastern League) are replacing affixed seats throughout the ballpark. Work began on the seat replacement last week, and is set to take place throughout the season.

The project represents the first major renovation relating to the seating at ARM & HAMMER Park since 2008-2009 when the bleachers down the first and third base line of the park were replaced by the picnic area and fixed seating.

New seats will be installed throughout the season when the Thunder are on the road from ARM & HAMMER Park and it is anticipated that the project will be completed during the season.

“This major improvement to ARM & HAMMER Park is something that our fans will enjoy for generations to come,” said Thunder team president Joe Finley. “I thank Mercer County Executive Brian Hughes and the Board of Chosen Freeholders of Mercer County for helping bring this vision to fruition and we thank our fans for their support of us over 23 years. We look forward to the new seating enhancing our family-friendly entertainment experience.”

“ARM & HAMMER Park is a wonderful venue that showcases what the Trenton Thunder do best — provide a first-class entertainment experience in a clean and affordable family environment,” said Mercer County executive Brian M. Hughes. “The proof is in the millions of fans who have flocked to the ballpark since 1994, and is something we can all take pride in. Credit goes to Joe Finley, General Manager Jeff Hurley and everyone on the Thunder staff for the terrific product they deliver to the community.”

At the completion of the renovation, a few changes will be set for the 2018 season. Seats on the luxury level will be padded and every seat in the ballpark will be navy blue; matching the Thunder’s current color scheme. As a result of the renovation, the seating capacity of the ballpark will be altered by the complete removal of row U in sections 210 and 209 and the addition of four seats in row BB of sections 114/115, 113/112, 111/110, and 109/108. Seating capacity will be 6,120 when the project is completed.
