Fresno Grizzlies Announce Partnership with Toyota

Fresno Grizzlies Taco Tuesdays

The Fresno Grizzlies (Class AAA; Pacific Coast League) have announced a corporate partnership with Toyota. As part of the agreement, Toyota will be the Official Vehicle of the Fresno Grizzlies for at least the next three seasons.

The deal also places Toyota as one of the top three corporate partners, financially speaking, of Grizzlies baseball in Downtown Fresno.

The popular Taco Tuesday promotion at Chukchansi Park, where the Grizzlies don the uniforms of their alter ego and play as the Fresno Tacos for every Tuesday home game, will now be known as Toyota Taco Tuesday.

New and prominent Toyota signage around Chukchansi Park will include a new illuminated sign in straightaway center field above the batter’s eye.  A custom-built Toyota vehicle display will also be visible in the right field plaza.

“Partnering with the most recognized automotive brand in the world further solidifies Chukchansi Park as a premier sports and entertainment venue, to reach a captive audience and potential customers,” said Derek Franks, Fresno Grizzlies general manager.  “A deal like this truly feels ‘Major League’ and with Toyota’s support, we’ll be able to enhance not only the look and feel of our ballpark, but the overall fan experience.”

Indeed, Toyota has remained the world’s most valuable car brand, according to a study released by market researcher Millward Brown in June 2016.  With a brand value at nearly $30 million, Toyota has been number one in the study nine of the 11 years it’s been conducted.  (Source:  Automotive News / autonews.com)

“The Central Valley Toyota Dealers are ecstatic to be the Official Vehicle of the Fresno Grizzlies.  This is a fantastic partnership between our brands, as it completely underscores both organization’s shared delivery of exciting family experience at an incredible value,” said Marty Mayfohrt, owner of Madera Toyota and director of the Local Toyota Dealer Association.

Fans that enjoy fireworks following every Friday home game can also thank Toyota for sponsoring the shows on May 5 vs. Sacramento and August 25 vs. Tacoma.  Fans will also see the new partnership well-represented around town, as “Parker’s Pickup,” a new Grizzlies-wrapped Toyota Tacoma will be spotted up and down the Central Valley at the hundreds of community events and schools visited by Grizz mascot Parker T. Bear throughout the season and off-season.

The new partnership with Toyota will extend to Fresno Fuego soccer, the co-tenants of the Grizzlies at Chukchansi Park.
