Stockton Ports Unveil Ballpark Changes

Stockton Ports

In advance of the 2017 season, the Stockton Ports (High A; California League) are unveiling numerous changes to Banner Island Ballpark. Among the modifications the Ports have announced are extended netting, a self-serving refrigerated drink area, new menu items, new online ticket options, and more.

Ballpark Enhancements:
Located near the Corona Cabana along the left field line will be the Coors Light Cold Zone, a 10 foot by 8 foot walk in, self-serving, refrigerated area. Here, the fans are able to be their own bartender, personally choosing from up to 40 selections of beer while also having the ability to grab the drink themselves.

Along the mini-monster wall in left field, fans will find a newly installed, 108 foot long drink rail. It will be a spot to catch a view of the game and enjoy a beverage while taking a lap around the ballpark.

Also featured in the outfield will be the new Port City Saloon, presented by Golden State Vodka. Fans will get a taste of the wild, wild west in this centerfield hang out spot which will feature a full service bar and snacks. The Saloon will also offer a daily happy hour prior to the start of each game.

Right inside the main gate area of Banner Island Ballpark, fans will find the Main Gate Micro Brew. With at least 8 different options of beer to choose from, this micro brew stand is sure to have something that will appeal to everyone, and the Ports are excited to offer fans the best selection of beer in the Central Valley.

The Ports have also extended the netting behind the home plate area to reach all the way to the beginning of both dugouts, but not to worry, fans will still have plenty of opportunities to grab a foul ball.

New Menu Items:
This season, fans can enjoy new “day of the week” specials. Tuesday’s will be known as “Tallboy Tuesday’s,” where fans can purchase 24 ounce Coors Light cans for $3 from 6pm to 8pm. Thursday’s will be known as “Dollar Beer Night,” presented by The Deliberation Room, where fans can purchase 12 ounce Coors Light and Coors Drafts for $1 from 6pm to 8pm.

The Ports’ “Grub Club” will be extended an extra day this season as well. Fans will have the opportunity to participate in this family friendly discount on Sunday’s through Thursday’s at Banner Island Ballpark. Families can purchase the “Grub Club” pass for kids ages 12 and under for $10 at the Box Office on the day of the game and redeem the items throughout the game.

In addition, several areas around the park will feature new menu items. The home plate concession area will sell 80 ounce souvenir popcorn helmets. The third base area will carry South Carolina pulled pork nachos, and Philadelphia cheese steak sandwiches will be sold at the sausage cart.

Ticket Rebranding:
In an effort to enhance the game day experience and speed up the entry process at the gates, the Ports are encouraging fans to purchase game tickets online at stocktonports.com and print them at home, with no additional per order fees. Online tickets are also sold for a discounted price as opposed to purchasing at the Box Office. Fans can also purchase season ticket packages online at stocktonports.com for the first time.

This season, fans can also purchase individual game tickets to sit in the 4Topps area of the ballpark for $100. The semi-circle tables and four swivel chairs with full waiter service offer fans a more exclusive way to enjoy the game from the best seats in the house.
