We covered this promo when first announced, but now we have photos, as the Greensboro Grasshoppers (Low A; Sally League) are taking the field as the Jeansboro Grasshoppers this Saturday.
Wrangler, of course, is headquartered in Greensboro, and the promo put the team in Jeansboro uniforms, shown to the right and bottom. In addition, fans will enjoy a night of Wrangler giveaways, Wrangler.com 25-percent off coupons and a special discount on Wrangler merchandise in the Majestic Yard.
Last fall, Wrangler celebrated the first annual “Jeansboro Day” here in the hometown of the legendary denim label. As part of the Jeansboro initiative, local artists and designers have contributed their talents to provide the city with a public tribute to this authentic North Carolina legacy. Wrangler provided 3D jean sculptures to serve as blank canvases for area artists to bring their creative expressions of Jeansboro to life. The finished projects are being installed in downtown Greensboro, celebrating its history as a worldwide leader in the denim industry. The first six are on display on Elm Street.
