It was a round of upsets in the second round of the Best of the Ballparks vote for short season A ballparks, as fans choose their favorite facilities in the NY-Penn and Northwest Leagues. And we want to hear from you!
The big upset: fans chose #17 seed Susquehanna Bank Park at Historic Bowman Field (Williamsport Crosscutters) over MCU Park (Brooklyn Cyclones), our #11 seed. In all, fans went with the classic ballparks over newer facilities.
That sets up some interesting choices today. You know what to do: polling is now open.
We know from marketing/user research stats a third of our readers work in the baseball industry, so we’re tapping into that collective expertise. And we know from our research that a third of our readers sell to the baseball industry, so that expertise will be valuable as well. The remaining third — fans, media, government — will certainly have a different view on things as well. We can’t wait to see what our readers — whom we consider to be the smartest folks in baseball — say about the best of the ballparks.
