Records broken by Timber Rattlers, Miracle

Fort Myers MiracleThe first four days of the season saw two attendance records toppled, as the Fort Myers Miracle (High Class A; Florida State League) set a game record and the Wisconsin Timber Rattlers (Low Class A; Midwest League) set a season-opener record.

The Timber Rattlers drew 5,954 fans to Neuroscience Group Field at Fox Cities Stadium yesterday; some nice weather and the debut of Brewers first-rounder Kodi Medeiros on the mound proved to be irresistible for many fans.

On Tuesday, the Miracle drew a team-record 9,208 to a totally renovated Hammond Stadium on the season opener. There, the home team was more successful, winning 3-0 over the Charlotte Stone Crabs. The attendance record bested the previous mark from July 3, 1996 of 8,969.
