Kingfish unveil 2015 bobblehead, ballpark lineups

Kenosha Kingfish bobbleheads

The Kenosha Kingfish (summer collegiate; Northwoods League) unveiled their ballpark improvements and bobblehead lineup for 2015, including unique zip-line and bobble-boat giveaways and a new Simmons Field digital scoreboard.

Highlighting the announcements was the unveiling of a new digital scoreboard to be installed beyond the right center field fence. Following the 2014 season, the Kingfish conducted a fan survey with more than 1,000 participants. The number one request for improving the fan experience was an upgraded scoreboard. This feedback prompted the newest renovation to Simmons Field.

In addition to the new scoreboard, the Kingfish announced a partnership with the KAC and will have a new location for pre-game tailgate parties for the upcoming season. The Kingfish hosted several large corporate outings in 2014, sometimes as large as 1,500 people. This new park-like area located on the KAC property next to Simmons Field will allow for a more private atmosphere in a more open setting while offering close proximity to the ballpark.

Rounding out the improvements was the new and improved 7-game pack food and beverage set-up for 2015. In addition to adding a BBQ rib sandwich to the menu, 7-game pack holders will also have a private buffet set-up separate from the main concession stand on a nightly basis. This new tented area will be located behind the third base grandstand and will alleviate congestion in the main courtyard in an effort to serve 7-game pack holders more efficiently.

Not only were all guests in attendance excited about the stadium enhancements, but the Kingfish announced six bobbleheads for the 2015 season. The bobbleheads include a Festival Foods Zip Line Elvis that will be the first bobblehead of its kind. Other bobbleheads will be a Uke’s Harley Davidson Mini Bike Elvis bobblehead, a Lynch Chevrolet Firefighter Elvis bobblehead, Lee Plumbing, Heating, Cooling & Electric Lenny Webster bobblehead, and a first-ever bobble boat, the Twin Disc Bambino Bobble Boat. The Kingfish saved the best for last as they unveiled a Platinum Systems Dancing Elvi Tyler bobblehead while the Dancing Elvi performed a live set.

The Kingfish play at historic Simmons Field, home to baseball in Kenosha since 1920.
