Beloit Snappers unveil new radio home

Beloit SnappersThe Beloit Snappers (Low Class A; Midwest League) signed a broadcast deal with startup Janesville Community Radio, which will be the official station of the team for the 2015 season.

As a result of this partnership, Snappers fans will hear 40 home games throughout the 2015 season on 103.5 FM and streaming live on the Internet.

“We are excited to be partnering with Janesville Community Radio, to provide our fans with more Snappers coverage than ever before,” said Bill Czaja, Director of Corporate Sales and Promotions for the Snappers.

“This is a natural fit with Snappers games headlining our hyper-local schedule promoting community involvement,” added Yuri Rashkin, President of Janesville Community Radio.

Games will be called by the host of JCR’s “Wisconsin Sports Report,” David Krapf.

Janesville Community Radio, Inc. is a LPFM station launching in Janesville in June 2015 at 103.5 FM. It will simulcast at JanesvilleCommunityRadio.com and snappersbaseball.com.

This isn’t a return to the airwaves for the Snappers: the team has been broadcasting games on radio consistently over the years.
