Perfect Game League adds Victor team

Perfect Game LeagueThe summer-collegiate Perfect Game League is adding a new team for 2015 in Victor, N.Y., playing at Victor Central School District High School.

The team, owned by Pinnacle Athletic Campus, LLC, will play at Pinnacle Athletic Campus, which is under construction, in 2016.

“We are so very excited about adding the Pinnacle brand to our roster of teams,” said PGCBL President Jeff Kunion. “Jim Ludwig has been involved in Victor area youth baseball for many, many years and his commitment to the community is exemplified by the multiple improvements and upgrades he and his team are making to the Victor HS field.”

The Pinnacle Athletic Campus, where the team will play following its completion, will feature an indoor sportsplex with a three full baseball/softball fields, six youth soccer/lacrosse fields and a 1,600-foot walking course. The outdoor complex will feature four full baseball fields, where the team will play, as well as soccer/lacrosse fields.

“We have been working towards fielding a PGCBL team in Victor for several years,” said co-owner Jim Ludwig. “My son played in the PGCBL and I witnessed first hand the high quality of competition and the devoted ownership and management in the league.”

Josh Ludwig played the 2013 season with the Newark Pilots, playing in 38 games and hitting .281 in the process.

The Victor club will compete in the West Division and are the second new team for the 2015 season, joining the Saugerties Stallions, who will compete in the East Division.
