Professional Sports Catering acquired by Levy Restaurants

Ballpark DigestSome news on the corporate front: Levy Restaurants announced today the acquisition of Professional Sports Catering (PSC).

Helmed by founder Tom Dickson, PSC will continue to focus exclusively on mid-sized baseball stadiums, an area that they have had tremendous success in over the past eight seasons.

“PSC has a true passion for the minor league game day experience and we couldn’t be more proud to partner with them,” says Andy Lansing, President and CEO of Levy Restaurants. “Tom and his team have a wonderful knowledge of the MiLB landscape, strong relationships and a unique depth of expertise. Together, we are able to fuel that specialization with a high powered engine of new culinary and hospitality resources, training programs, analytics and more to welcome fans with an exceptional experience.”

“In Levy, we found a partner that shares our core values of quality food, great guest service, and a partnership mentality.” said Tom Dickson, CEO of PSC. “Levy Restaurants not only aligns with all of these principles, but also helps us tap into the power of the leaders in sports and entertainment food and hospitality. We couldn’t be happier about how this will enhance our capabilities as a company, and are very excited about the opportunities it will present.”

Over the past eight years, PSC has experienced tremendous growth throughout minor league baseball.  2014 has already been a banner year for the company, with new partnerships announced with the Bowling Green Hot Rods (Low Class A; Midwest League), and PSC’s first spring training account, a partnership with the Peoria Sports Complex (Spring Training Home of the Seattle Mariners and San Diego Padres).
