Work progresses at CHS Field, the new home of the St. Paul Saints (independent, American Association), and we have a treat for you: a time-lapse video showing installation of the turf and home plate.
The video, shot via a GoPro camera installed at the ballpark by City of St. Paul employee Nick Nelson, shows the installation of turf and home plate, which also delineates the basepaths. All in all, some 95,000 square feet of sod was installed. See for yourself:
The new ballpark is scheduled to open for the 2015 season.
