Purdue holds first practices at new Alexander Field

Alexander Field

The Purdue Boilermakers baseball team held its first practices at Alexander Field, slated to open next season as the team’s new home.

There’s been an arms race of sorts in the Big Ten, with both Purdue and the University of Minnesota slated to open new ballparks next season, and Purdue officials say the replacement for Lambert Field should be one of the best in the conference. Alexander Field is part of a $21-million facilities upgrade at Purdue.
