SwampDogs giving away cars left and right

Fayetteville SwampDogsAn insured promotion where the Fayetteville SwampDogs (summer collegiate; Coastal Plain League) and a local dealer give away a new car if a player steals home has resulted in two free autos for fans this season.

The promotion, “Steal of a Lifetime,” is sponsored by a local car dealership, Stewart Nissan, and has run for the past three season. It’s a simple promotion: if a SwampDogs player steals home during a home game at J.P. Riddle Stadium, one lucky fan will be drawn as the winner of $15,000 toward the purchase of a car. This season a SwampDogs player was successful in a theft of home twice, on June 15 and July 5, so two cars ($30,000) were given away in 21 days. Doing it once in the course of the season would be unusual; doing it twice in 21 days is awesome.
