Crushers announce All-Star plans

Frontier LeagueThe Lake Erie Crushers are hosting the 2011 Frontier League All-Star Game at All Pro Freight Stadium on July 13, but the festivities kick off the night before with the Frontier League Fan Fest and Home Run Derby.

The 2011 Frontier League Fan Fest will begin July 12 at 5:30 p.m. with All Star autographs and family fun activities all around the ballpark. Activities will include a face painter, Pat Catan’s craft station for fans to create posters and pennants to cheer on their favorite All Stars, a Max and Erma’s restaurant ice cream bar, Lake Erie Nature Center animals, a balloon artist, the kid’s zone inflatables and more!  All players from both teams will be available for autographs throughout the Fan Fest. 

Other exciting promotions taking place throughout the evening are $1 hot dogs, 12 oz. sodas and 12 oz. draft beers. Gates will open at 4:30p.m.

The night will cap off with the 2011 Frontier League Home Run Derby beginning at 7:30 p.m.

The celebration continue onto Wednesday, July 13, as the Lake Erie Crushers host the 2011 All Star Game at 7:05 p.m.

All tickets are $5 General Admission Seating Bowl tickets and all kids 12 and under are free;  $1 per each ticket will be donated to the Kick-It Foundation, a fundraising organization which raises money for pediatric cancer research.
