Three staff appointments announced at Roger Dean Stadium

Spring TrainingRoger Dean Stadium announced the hiring of three major positions at the complex today: Mike Bauer as General Manager of Jupiter Stadium, LTD; Jordan Treadway as Director of Grounds; and Walter Herrera as Stadium Building Manager. All three hires are internal promotions, coming after extensive nationwide searches, and are effective immediately.

Prior to joining Roger Dean Stadium, he spent four seasons with the Asheville Tourists (Low Class A; Sally League). Bauer held the position of Executive Director during his tenure in Asheville, and played a key role with the development of many McCormick Field enhancements. Before his stint in Asheville, Bauer worked for five years with the St. Pete Times Forum and Tampa Bay Lightning of the NHL. Working within the Event Operations department, Bauer ran the Guest Services, Premium Services and Security operations for the 20,000 seat arena.

Treadway will serve as Director of Grounds, overseeing the 110-acre facility and its 13 fields. He previously served as the Assistant Director of Grounds for three seasons in Jupiter after spending the 2007 season with the Corpus Christi Hooks (Class AA; Texas League). Treadway graduated from Mississippi State University with a degree in Golf and Sports Turf Management in 2006 and also played collegiate baseball at Northwest Mississippi Community College.

Herrera will serve as Stadium Building Manager, charged with maintaining and operating the complex’s buildings, computer networks, electrical systems and equipment. He joined Roger Dean Stadium in November 2003, serving as maintenance technician and network connection specialist for the past seven seasons.  Prior to joining Roger Dean Stadium, Herrera studied at the CESCA higher technology institute in Lima, Peru.
