PSC, Tourists sign concessions deal

Asheville TouristsProfessional Sports Catering, in conjunction with the DeWine Seeds Silver Dollar Baseball, announced today that the firm will manage the food and beverage operation at McCormick Field, home of the Asheville Tourists (Low Class A; Sally League).

“We wanted to join teams with a partner who we knew would provide top notch food and service to our fans at McCormick Field,” said Brian DeWine, president of the Asheville Tourists. “We feel PSC is the perfect partner to enhance our food experience and continue to provide affordable family entertainment to the residents of Western North Carolina.”

PSC plans to re-energize the ballpark with new concession stand signage and portable carts, and also upgrade the quality and presentation of menu options. They will manage all aspects of the food operation, including staffing, concessions and non-game day events.

“PSC is proud to become part of the tradition and history at McCormick Field,” said Tom Dickson, managing partner of PSC. “We look forward to revealing a fresh look at the concession stands with new signage and exciting menu options for all Tourists’ fans.”

Professional Sports Catering, LLC, a full-service food and beverage company, was launched in 2005 by Dickson and his partner, Sherrie Myers. Dickson and Myers, the owners of minor league baseball teams, including the Lansing Lugnuts and Montgomery Biscuits, started PSC to serve the needs of minor league baseball teams across the country. With the addition of the Tourists, PSC now manages the food and beverage operations for ten minor league baseball teams.
