Erie, Tigers officially extend PDC

Erie SeaWolvesThe Erie SeaWolves (Class AA; Eastern League) and the Detroit Tigers officially extended their player-development contract for two more years.

“We are very pleased to make this announcement today,” said SeaWolves Team President/General Manager John Frey said. “The Tigers have been a big part of the success of the SeaWolves for the past seven seasons and we look forward to continuing that relationship. A big part of the thanks also goes to Casey Wells and the entire ECCCA for their continued improvements to the ballpark and commitment to the club.”

“We are quite pleased to be continuing our relationship with the Sea Wolves. Through the collective efforts of Mandalay Baseball, John Frey, and the entire Sea Wolves front office, we have developed an outstanding working relationship over the years, which is critical to any successful partnership,” said Dan Lunetta, director of Minor League Operations for the Tigers. Erie is a natural fit for us geographically as it aligns well with Toledo, Grand Rapids and Detroit. For ten years, we have enjoyed our partnership with Erie and hope to continue for ten more years.”
